Tunjungan: The Night Lights

Jalan Tunjungan is probably the most famous street in Surabaya. Located at the downtown of the city, it has been one of the biggest commercial centers since the beginning of the 20th century. The commercial centers now have shifted to many different areas of the city, leaving Tunjungan with the memory of its past-time glory.

I had a rare chance to take some shots of the old buildings in Tunjungan at night last Sunday (May 19,2013). The road was closed for the annual Surabaya Urban Culture Festival. I didn't take many interesting photos of the multicultural festival, but when I was going home, I was stunned by the beautiful night lights at the buildings, too beautiful not to be captured by my Samsung Galaxy Ace camera. All pictures are unedited.

So here they are...

Let's Go Macro!

I bet you all understand how hard it is to take a macro shot using a cell phone camera. Sometimes I have to take a dozen of shots before getting the result I want.

Here are a few of my masterpieces in macro world. Most of the images have been posted on my Instagram profile.

Bromo in My Fantasy

Here it is, the most famous volcano in Indonesia, in my fantasy....

I used mobile photo editing applications such as Photo Editor, Phonto, Pixlr-o-Matic, and PicsPlay Pro to do the editing. All images have been published on my Instagram profile.
